MERRIMACK, N.H. -- Robert R. Bianchin, 69, of Merrimack, N.H., died Thursday, April 27, at Community Hospice House after a long illness.

He was born in Fitchburg on June 14, 1936, a son of the late Dominic and Christine (Fallavollita) Bianchin.

Mr. Bianchin grew up in Fitchburg and resided there until 1977 when they moved to Merrimack. While in Fitchburg he was a member of the South End National Club and both the Elks Club and the Moose Lodge.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1954-1957.

Before retirement, he was a machinist for Owen’s Illinois in Nashua for 32 years.

Mr. Bianchin was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy church and was a member of the Merrimack Senior Citizens where he loved playing cards. Mr. Bianchin and his wife just celebrated their 50th Anniversary with a cruise to Alaska in 2005.

Members of his family include his wife of 50 years, Eileen M. (Richard) Bianchin of Merrimack, N.H.; a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lori Bianchin of Kaneohe, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Joshua and Andrew; three brothers, Roger Bianchin, of Ringe, N.H., Dominic “Fuzzy” Bianchin Jr. and Peter Bianchin, both of Gardner; a sister, Betty David, of Fitchburg, and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by a brother, Anthony Bianchin, and two sisters, Elaine Tambo and Elena “Daisy” Babineau.

BIANCHIN -- On April 27, Robert R. Bianchin, 69, of Merrimack, N.H. There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, N.H., Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery Merrimack. So sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. We will miss watching him with the other cardsharks at the family reunion. Our prayers are with each of those who loved him.
