Robert Birkett Obituary

Col. Robert "Bob" C. Birkett (USAF- Ret.) Husband of Betty and father of Mike and John; grandfather of Andrew and Daniel, passed away July 28, 2013. Bob was born September 4, 1931 on a farm near Rochester, Wisconsin, the son of Glenn and Jessi Birkett. Bob joined the Air Force in 1952 and rose to the rank of Colonel during his distinguished career of 28 years. Bob and Betty retired in Tucson, AZ where he was active in the So. Arizona Rescue Association and a charter member of the Pantano Rotary Club. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Donations to the Pantano Rotary Club or So. Arizona Rescue Association in honor of Bob is preferred.
