Robert C. Black

JANESVILLE--- Robert C. Black, age 83, a resident of Rock Haven, died there Monday, Dec. 26, 2011. He was born in Janesville on Jan. 12, 1928, the son of Clarence and Jessie (Calhoun) Black. He attended Evansville Schools and had also learned the trade of carpentry and woodworking. Robert liked to fish, watch TV and his time spent on the farm. He lived over 30 years in the Rock County Health Care Center where he loved to visit and watch people. His guardians are very grateful to the entire Rock County Health Center nurses and staff who gave such wonderful care. He is survived by 2 sisters, Isabelle Black and Mary Dix; and other relatives and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Angeline Antwine and Elizabeth Black; and by 2 brothers, Forrest and Ted Black. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service.
