I will miss my Uncle cork very much. I remember as a child..hiding in my closet because I was afraid of my Uncle cork. I would ask my Mom...Is he going to come to? In later years he told me that he only pestered people that he liked. I remember the days at Sanibelle Island when he wouldn't let me go out on the beach till the sun came up...He was a great man and I will miss him very much. I love you Uncle Cork!

I only have sweet memories of my Uncle Cork. When I was a little girl I used to be afraid of him..I used to hide in the closet and ask my Mom..is He coming too? I guess it was his voice..he always told me that if he didn't love me he would not tease the Hell out of me! I miss him very much.. and miss all of the crazy sayings that he said on a daily basis. Love you Uncle Cork...see you again soon!

Corky singing "Blue Moon", April 2009 Falls Run
Dear Donna,
Thank you for letting me know of Corky's passing - I will miss seeing his smiling face at the Fredericksburg Big Band events. It was good to see you at the dinner / dance on Saturday night. I enjoyed knowing Corky - albeit brief. I have fond memories of him singing "Blue Moon" with me and the Fredericksburg Big Band in April 2009. Attached is a picture from that night. It was a pleasure to know him. I like to think that he's singing with a big band in heaven now!

SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT A/C ROBERT (CORKY) BLAEMIRE. HE WAS A "BUD" OF MY DAD'S, LEO DUNCANSON. I CAN REMEMBER HIM COMING OVER TO THE HOUSE AND SINGING WHILE MY STEP-MOTHER PLAYED THE PIANO, WHEN I WAS A YOUNG KID. ALSO REMEMBER HIM AS AN A/C WHEN I WAS A ROOKIE ON THE HAMMOND FIRE DEPT. MY CONDOLENCES TO DONNA AND THE BLAEMIRE FAMILY.

Donna, So sorry to hear about Cork. My mom saw it in the Times. I know that he has been sick for a while. Maybe I still will get out that way some time. My best to you and all yours.
