Robert “Bo” Brown, Jr. 60, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. He was born on October 3, 1964, to parents Robert and Winnie Brown. Bo made his career as a painter; loved his life on Buckroe Beach; and spent countless hours riding his bike around. He was known as “Buckroe Bo” where he enjoyed his cigarettes, dear friends and a cold beer.
Preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Brown, Sr and brother, Sam Brown; he leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Winnie Sue Carpenter and her husband, Sandford; daughter, Meranda Cruz; granddaughter, Hartleigh Cruz; step-mother, Linda Brown; step-siblings, Billy and Tracy Creech and Lisa Marie; as well as a large extended family and dear friends.
The family would like to thank Bo’s caregivers, Toni and George and Richard and Brenda for their dedicated care.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, downtown Hampton.

I met Bo many years ago through my brother and his cousin Toni and George who he loved very much.what was wonderful about Bo was his sweet nature and child like way he looked at life, he was thankful for small things, he seemed happy much of the time we all could take a lesson from Bo even at the end he did not complain and have a whoe as me mind frame I was blessed to spend time with him and happy to have known him. He will be missed.Sending love and prayer's to his family
