Robert Lee Boatman Jr.
October 10, 1951 - January 22, 2021
Leawood, Kansas - Robert L. Boatman Jr. 69, died unexpectedly January 22, 2021, at Menorah Medical Center. He was born October 10, 1951, in Kansas City, KS, the son of Robert Lee Boatman Sr. and Dorothy Louise (Cooley) Boatman.
Robert graduated from Bishop Miege High School, Class 1969. Following graduation, Robert served in the US Army. After serving in the Army, he had 4 children together with Victoria A. Boatman (McKee). He had an extensive career in Engineering and Development. He had a great passion for Kansas City sports teams and The Kansas Jayhawks. He had an admirable love for the game of golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Boatman, his sister Patricia Gerhards (Boatman), his nephew Joey Doran, and his great niece Norah Vandiver. He is survived by his four children, Kimberly (Boatman) and Mike Haas of Burlingame KS. Robert Lee III and Tara Boatman of Kansas City MO. Brian Boatman of Liberty MO. Corey Boatman and Christy Anderson of Kearney MO. He has 8 Grandchildren and 2 great Grandchildren.
Sister Judy and Tim Doran and Family. Sister Carol & Mike Maier and Family. Brother in-law Mike Gerhards and Family.
He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all.
