Not sure what to say?

Sincerest condolences to Sally, Rachel, and Becca. It never was my privilege to meet Bob, but I know we'd have had a great deal in common and that I would have liked and respected him. Your cousin, Wes Duran (Major, USAF Ret.)

Oh, my goodness... I was just online trying to find Bob and Sally to
check about having a link to the Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue on my new training class website, and I found this obituary on Bob! Needless to say, I'm shocked and very saddened. Bob and Sally had a sheltie pup from me years back, and I've always respected and admired their dedication to dogs in general. My deepest sympathy to
his family and close friends for this terrible loss.

Barb Linden

I went to Culver City High School with Bob, we both graduated in 1964. He played baseball, I ran track. He was an all around great guy and very talented. Always hoped we'd hook up again.

I have just heard of Bob's passing. He will be missed! He was always one of my favorite rescues! I enjoyed visiting with him everytime he came to the shelter! He tickled me one day by naming an old golden after me! We shall meet again! Edwin Kirk

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob when we flew with the 552 AWACS together and he was always one of the greatest. His loss saddens me deeply but I am comforted only when I think of what General Patton once said, "Weep not for those who have died but thank God that such men lived." I am so thankful to have had Bob in my life and wish you all only wonderful memories of this wonderful guy. May peace & love fill your hearts. Russell Hulbert, Capt., USAF-Retired

I am so sorry to hear about Robert Bornstein's death. He was a wonderful man and did so much for Golden Retrievers. I never met him in person but I have gotten so many Goldens from SGGR and they have added so much to my life. The first Golden I got was right after my husband died in 1992,Oscar, and he was such a comfort to me. t would not have been possible with out the work of Robert, Sally and SGGR!
Robert and Sally and all the work they have done.

God Bless Bob. He was invaluable to the OKC Animal Welfare Division as he and his volunteers saved hundreds of Golden Retrievers over the years. His outreach included saving shelter dogs, puppy mill victims, and pets from dog auctions. He touched the lives of so many people and pets that he can never be replaced. We are deeply saddened by his passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and to the wonderful volunteers and fosters with Sooner Golden Retriever Rescue. We will...

So sorry for the loss of Bob. Great person. You will have many friends waiting at the Rainbow bridge. Condolences to the family.
