Robert was born on December 15, 1923 and passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016. Robert was a resident of Jacksonville, North Carolina at the time of his passing. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps and served in World War II and the Korean War where he was awarded the Purple Heart. He was married to Ellen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 5th at Infant of Prague Catholic Church at 1:00pm. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening January 4th from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Jones Funeral Home Jacksonville.
