I remember my Uncle Rob from when I was a kid. Visiting him in Michigan at our annual Brandt family reunions. He was very wise and very passionate about the world and how we live in it. I know my Mom is beside herself with grief for losing her Brother. I will miss you Uncle Rob! Rest in peace with your brother Bill, Sister Pat and "Little" Grandma Lucy and Grandpa in heaven!

I really enjoyed spending time with Uncle Rob. He taught me many things. Right away I think of the trees that he pointed out to me on our walks, how to throw a hatchet, and fixing things that I thought were beyond repair but somehow he would know what to do. Late in his life we would walk near his house where he used to go alone to pick up trash. We walked down one side and up the other picking up trash.
