Not sure what to say?

As with everyone else, I want to extend my sympthies to all the family and friends of Uncle Bob. I wish I could have made the trip to the funeral. I had business to take care of here that I could not get away from. I have a lot of fond memories of Uncle Bob and all his family.

Aunt Alma,
I'm praying the Lord will give you the comfort and strength only He can give at such a time like this.
I am so thankful for the privilege to have known Uncle Bob. He may have lived half the country away, but I always looked forward to getting his letters. I remember getting to go to his house when I was a teenager, and he was so much fun! He liked to play tricks on people. Him and his Cadillacs! He sure loved having those cars! Almost as much as he loved spoiling Aunt...

I have many wonderful memories of Uncle Bob; a fabulous sense of humor, a kind and pleasant person, those visits when they would drive from California to Iowa and Missouri only stopping to change drivers. Perhaps my fondest memory is Dad and Mom sitting around the dining room table with Bob and Doris just visiting and catching up, eventually Dad would go to the basement and get the homemade wine. They would have a glass and continue visiting, what a wonderful memory. My sympathies to Alma...

Our thoughts and Prayers are with you in this time of sorrow.

I always loved Uncle Bob and am sorry to hear of his passing. I would love to go to his services but I cant afford it . I want Kathy and Doug and Randy and Alma to know that my thoughts are with you and would love to see all of you. I send my love. Susan Davis

I've not had a lot of personal contact with Uncle Bob because of 2000 miles between us, but I felt I knew him well from the numerous letters he would write to my father and to my Aunt Wilma.
I know that he loved living in California and has said many times "California has been good to me." He loved to talk about his business and growing citrus trees in his yard.
I know that he proudly served his country in WWII. My father had saved several of the letters Bob wrote home from...

I have known Bob for many years...I have known his wife, Alma, all my life. I am saddened to hear of his passing. He was a likable Gentleman. To Alma, I offer my deepest Sympathy and Love to you. I am the Son of Etolia Clark.
