Fr. Robert E. Brodzeller

Brodzeller S.J., Fr. Robert E. Fr. Brodzeller was a member of the St. Camillus Jesuit Community and was called to eternal life on October 24, 2018. He was 88 years old and a Jesuit for 68 years. He received a MA in German from St. Louis University in 1958. He taught high school as part of his Jesuit training at Red Cloud High School, Pine Ridge, S.D. He also taught high school at Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chien, WI. He spent the rest of his ministerial life in pastoral ministry in hospitals, parishes, and as a retreat director. Fr. Brodzeller was born in Lomira, WI. He graduated from Campion Jesuit High school in 1948 and attended Marquette University for two years prior to his entering the Society of Jesus at Florissant, MO in 1950 He was ordained a Jesuit priest on June 11, 1963 at Gesu Church, Milwaukee, WI. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister, and a brother. There will be a wake at Madonna della Strada Chapel in the Jesuit Community at St. Camillus, 10201 W. Wisconsin Avenue from 6:00pm-7:30 on October 29. The funeral Mass will follow at 7:30pm. He has donated his body to the Medical College of Wisconsin after the funeral Mass. Memorials may be sent to the Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus, 1010 N. Hooker, Chicago, IL 60642 with a notation: "In Memory of Fr. Robert Brodzeller, S.J."
