ROBERT 'BROPHY WAS A GENTLE SOUL CARING AND AMAZING. I WORKED AS HIS CAREGIVER FOR A SHORT TIME AT HIS HOME. HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO MAKE A DELIOUS SA DWICH THAT HIS DAUGHTER SAID WAS THE BEST. WE SHARED BI LICAL THOUGHT AND FAITH IN GOD. He left an impressive friendship to me and everyone around him. I was fortunate to meet him along life's journey. I pray the faith he had transferred to all his loved ones. Miss you Mr.Brophy! See you on the otherside.

Bob was an exceptional individual. As his obituary states, he was beloved by everyone who had the pleasure to meet him. As an English major at CSULB, I met Bob through his friend Professor David Fine, who also taught in the English Department. From the moment I met Bob, I was impressed by his considerable intellect, writing and teaching abilities, vast knowledge of many subjects, as well as his social activism. Bob´s kindness and willingness to participate in social Justice and peace...

I often think of Mr. Brothy. I worked as his caregiver for short period of time. We had great conversations about the Bible. He was as a very kind person and loved everyone. I remember the great sandwiches we prepared and ate together. Blessings to his loved ones.

So sorry to hear of his death. I was his student, friend, and follower.

Though 12,300+ feet apart in elevation and a decade+ apart in time, look at the alignment here-of the bands of the waters on the ground and the rocks and clouds in the sky (of Lhasa, Tibet and Pfeiffer Beach, California). Though born decades apart, Bob and I were fratres, first aligning over the challenging literature of Jeffers, then continuing to challenge each other with questions about everything, which bonded us even more (even though our base beliefs didn´t always align).
