Not sure what to say?

Bob and I were good friends for 70 years. We grew up together and went to school together. He was first chair of our high school orchestra. He attended rehearsals, but never practiced outside. Didn't need to. He was that good. We kept contact after leaving school by letters and ocasional visits. I will miss him.

Bob was my stand partner in the Plainfield Symphony and a marvelous leader of the second violins! His timing was faultless and his sheer joy in the music was contagious. I looked forward to those Monday nights just to enjoy his company, his inimitable sense of humor, and the depth of his appreciation of each selection. I remember our playing Grieg's piano concerto. At the end I looked at Bob and tears were coming down his cheeks. I was filled with the same emotion. He was a man who lived life...

Bob was such a fine man. I always enjoyed conversing with him. He was interested in so many different things and had the patience to explain them. What a great teacher he must have been for his children! While it's sad to think he is gone, I'm glad he is at peace.
