Not sure what to say?

I new Lee from Pineland Umpiring. We worked many games together throughout the years. He was a great man to know on and off the Diamond and will be missed.

On a wildlife excursion in Florida

Lee was like a big brother to me. We spent many vacations together in recent years. I knew Lee as the President of Parents without Partners and as a member in the Couples Club. He loved his baseball, and was an Umpire for 30 years with little league. Alice & I spent much time with Lee & Linda, playing cards, going out to dinner, shows & other activities. He will be missed very much.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the loss, ofour dear friend "Lee" none shall forget his deep devotion to his family, work and his social life, nor his service to our country.
A simple note as this can not easethepain of losing a spouse, the father, the grandfather or a dear friend, but I hope we can all take solace in knowing that his performance in life exceeded all measures of selflessness and dedication to us and the nation at large.
Our minds recall all the fun times we shared...

Honoring Lee's service to his country. <

Didn't have the privilege of knowing Lee well, but enjoyed the few times we worked together. My heart goes out to Linda, and all of his family and friends in this very difficult time. Praying that their sweet memories of Lee will sustain them, and bring smiles in the toughest moments. God Bless you all with His Unfathomable Peace. Amen. <

Lee on Ft Lauderdale water Taxi. Mar. 2013

Our prayers are with Linda and others in the family of Lee Buecker, one of the nicest guys I've ever known. His passion for baseball was evident when he pitched on his college team in North Carolina. I once referred to Lee in a story as the "slender southpaw" and he always loved that phrase, reminding me often about this description. He also did some sports writing for the college newspaper, something that most people may not know. He was a good college roommate and an even greater friend...
