Obituary

Buesgens, Robert "Bob" J. age 71, of Chaska. Loving father passed away Jan 23, 2007, surrounded by his family after a 5 year battle with lung cancer. Born in Cologne, MN on 9/24/ 1935 to Hubert and Marie Buesgens. Preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Betty Buesgens; his sisters, Luella (Norbert) Tieben and Gert (Harry) Hartung; his brother, Art (Grace) Buesgens; his children, Connie (Keith), Michael (Becky), Keith (Pat), and Kevin (Cathy); his grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Kaylee, Conner, Cole, Cortney, Zach, Paige, and Owen; and his dog and faithful companion, Brutus. He served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958 as a machinist mate on the USS Midway CVA 41 from 54 to 56 and on Whidbey Island from 56 to 58. On return to MN, he became a contractor, building homes in Jonathan, Chaska, Chanhassen and Victoria. He loved hunting, fishing, dogs, history, building and inventing things. Memorial Mass Monday, January 29, 6:00 pm, with visitation 4:00-6:00 pm prior to service at Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Private interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred. Cremation Society of MN Minneapolis (612) 825-2435

Due to illness it's not possible to attend Bob's memorial. He'll be remembered for being a great friend to Bob (Sells) during his last years. They shared not only a working relationship but a friendship. My condolences to everyone.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have very good memories of RJ. aka the Ole Man, he always had a smile on his face. God bless.

Our condolences to Betty,children and grandchildren. We have fond memories of the years we lived in Victoria. Bob and Betty became fast friends of ours. We snowmobiled together, socialized, and spent much time as family. Bob was an unforgettable person with his smile, always ready to help everyone, and was aways there for everyone in the neighborhood. We will never forget him and the times we spent together. Our prayers are with you all.
