Not sure what to say?

The last time I saw fr. Bob he was coming from our Jennings Garden with his Rosary sometime in October very early this Fall early in the he morning. He said as startled about something that happened in the am but his prayers placed him on a steady way. I've never met anyone like him. So peaceful and def cared to his service at Jennings. He always prayed with me and gave me his blessing. Those gestures will be my most precious memories. He was beloved by everyone who knew him.

A kind and dedicated priest at St. Mel. He always started his homilies with a joke. Rest in Peace.

Bob-o was my best friend for 61 years. We shared so much together emotionally, but especially spiritually. God filled our lives with riches as we traveled together for conferences, hiking, and ice cream. We shared prayer, healing, and learning about the Lord. We had fun and laughter, tears and pain in common, all with an experience of God´s blessings. He was a great friend and a great man who brought God's life and healing to so many. I miss him, but am at peace knowing he is with God and so...

Fr. Bob was three years ahead of me in the high school seminary, a senior to my freshman, in 1962. My mental picture of him in those days shows him in a red t-shirt, the team shirt for one of the eight teams formed for seminary intramural sports. I remember him as a fierce competitor, appropriate for a team named Angles. Our close personal friendship didn't begin until 2004. We were both concerned for attending the wakes and funerals of fellow priests, most of whom he knew much better than I...

Father Burge came to our house for my sons First Communion party 48 years ago during his time at St. Mel's parish. He always made you accept yourself and he truly loved the Lord. Talking with him was as if he knew you your whole life. He had a gentle way about him. It has been an honor to have been blessed to know him. Rest in peace Father Burge.

An amazing person / priest. He has left a huge impression in my life. I grew up going to St. Ambrose. May he rest in piece.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

Thank you for all you did with a loving caring heart !
