Not sure what to say?

He made going to school fun every single day!

This morning I found this notice after searching to see if I could locate Mr Burgess~~he had a profound influence in my life as my sixth grade teacher at Harris Elementary! What a fun and meaningful teacher! I love that he experienced such a rich life with family, and accomplished so very much! What a wonderful legacy! He has held my appreciation for sixty years, and counting...

I just heard about Mr. Bob Burgess, I ditto the sentiment of so many... ODS had me hook line and sinker the day I brought my sixth grade class to camp... I was so hooked I resigned and became a resource specialist... changed my life... made me a better person... just better... Thank you Bob Burgess and I just bet he might say to all of us: "Don't cry because I am gone but smile because I was here!" Until~~~~ Wynken aka~ Roselle Gatto/Soriano

I never met Bob Burgess but I am eternally grateful for the Outdoor School program that he helped start. Being a student leader at Adams/Milk Creek has opened up my eyes to the beautiful people and places in this world and I hope this legacy will go on forever.

I just finished my last week at ODS as a Student Leader at Howard a couple of weeks ago. I never knew Mr. Burgess, but I am eternally grateful to him for the good he has done for our community. My weeks as a Student Leader have been the best of my life, and I owe that to him. I hope that his legacy can live on through every campfire and every silly little song sung by hordes of 6th graders.

I became a teacher and learned the importance of real-life experiences when training students no matter what age level or subject matter. There is no substitute for hands-on learning. Thank you to Bob for his insight and wisdom in creating the perfect way to teach earth sciences to 6th graders and many other things to the high school-age counselors. My...
