Very sorry to hear about Dee. He was a squadron mate of mine in VF-14, the Tophatters. He joined the squadron just before me and before we left on the 1st of our 2 cruises together onboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA-42. Our 1st cruise was flying the F3H-2N Demon. Dee and I always compared our carrier landings together. Dee was a LSO for our squadron. He and I were a couple of the aviators that got to transistion to the F4 Phantom.
