Not sure what to say?

I randomly thought of Professor Burnham for the first time in several years and googled him- only to be saddened to hear that he had passed. He was one in a million and could captivate an entire classroom full of students with ease. I had his class in the spring of 2014 and never missed a class- except one- when we were all dismissed early the day of Snowmageddon in 2014. He will be remembered fondly by many.

Mr. Burnham was an excellent teacher. I took his Literature class at Jefferson State College probably 25 years ago. He was such a gifted story teller. The entire class loved listening to him explain medieval Literature like Canterbury Tales and Beowulf. He made a boring subject seem fun. I was teaching my oldest son about Geoffrey Chaucer today and it made me think about Mr. Burnham.

I grew up with Bobby in perk. he was always a really good person. never heard an unkind word from him or about him which says it all.I know he will be missed. Charles Cuevas

Carol, I am so sorry to hear about Bob. This was an obituary of which he would have been proud. Although I have not been able to keep in touch with you and him recently, he was one of my special folks! Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and know that I am so sorry I am out of town and unable to be at the service.
