Just went to call Professor Burris about a legal question I have. He had been my professor in MBA program at Wingate University. He did used to love to talk about legal stories which made for very interesting class. A huge loss to all that knew professor Burris. Sympathies with his family and colleagues. Great man and character. Rgds, Niels A

Dear Commander Bob, it’s Veteran’s Day, 2020 and I want to thank you for your service to our country through the Navy for 24 years. You certainly made a difference to your comrades on the Monrovia and the Churchill County and your service in the Navy Reserves.

So many people miss you including me. Rest In Peace, Dear Friend.

Libby

Bob and I were friends for 57 years. I was an Ensign on the USS Monrovia and served many a Bridge watch with Bob. Bob also introduced me to a Civil War study group that toured Battle fields all over the eastern United Stated, He was a great friend and I sure miss him,

I knew Bob as the Adjunct Professor of Business Law with the Wingate MBA graduate Program. He was always coming in to the campus in Ballantyne, after a long day at the law firm, still chirping about many stories, memories, family and events he fondly shared with such pride. He was a true gentleman, and I will smile fondly as I remember him shuffling down the hall to his class and students, on a mission to teach ethic, law and integrity.
