I grew up next door to Bob's parents, Ray and Mary. I knew Paul and Bob really well even though I was much younger. Every time I went to Cee Jays to grab a sub when I was in high school, I'd stop over and say hi to Bob at the firehouse. He was such a great guy. I remember Bob and Paul cleaning out their parents garage and giving me a bunch of baseball stuff like bats and bases that I'd take with me to Cunningham park to play pick up games with my friends. I met Bob in the early 80´s. He struck me then as a very good man and, by all accounts, he was. Rest in peace Bob and thank you for your service to our country and town.
