Robert “Rob” Caffery Jr, 43, of Madisonville, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana.


Rob was born May 4, 1982, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Robert Caffery and Martha Bateman.  In 2020 he married Arianne Kiesel in Covington, Louisiana.


He is survived by his wife, Arianne Caffery; his father, Robert Caffery; mother, Martha Bateman; a sister, Lauren Caffery; and his beloved dogs, Beaux and Rex.


He proudly served in the United States Navy from December 2001 to December 2006, achieving the rank of Aviation Ordnanceman Second Class (AO2). During his service, he was stationed aboard the USS Ronald Reagan and USS Abraham Lincoln. His honors included the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.


Memorial Services will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at The Village Church Lutheran, 29180 Hwy 190, Lacombe LA 70445.


The memorial service will begin promptly at 4:00pm with military honors including playing of Taps and presentation of the flag followed by a reception at the church ending at 7:00pm.

While I did not know Robert, I know Ari loved him and he made her happy. For that reason he will be missed. I will be praying for you all in these very troubling times.
