Not sure what to say?

As a teenager, I admired Roberts passion for drawing surfer cartoons on shirts that he sold. His talent was obvious at a young age.❤

Robert was my first cousin that I saw only a few times a year but we were also friends. I remember the surfer shirts that he used his talent on when we were in our early teens. His talent was evident at an early age. He was a kind and gentle soul.

Dear Catherine,
We have not met, but I knew Robert. We met in the mid-1980's when I came to Florida to exhibit my work. Robert, my first cousin, was also my friend. It is so hard to believe that he is gone. Thank you Cathy for making his life so complete!

Robert would laugh at this photo taken in Galveston at Jim and Liz Hinton's bay house.

I worked with Bob for many years in the Art Shop at University of South Florida. We enjoyed countless robust discussions about the nature of the universe and where we humans and our art figure into it all. His eyes and his mind were always engaged, always wondering, building, moving - objects, himself and all those of us lucky enough to be around him. Sending him love and joy for his journey.

What a shock to hear that he is gone. I will always cherish our brief friendship and a marvelous piece of his sculpture I own.
