Not sure what to say?

While a chief petty officer in the naval reserves here in Salem, I also worked at the state hospital when Rob came to work there. One of the nicest guys ever, then I promoted to AFS Division and he promoted there sometime later and showed everyone what a terrific manager he was, not just a terrific person. I would have loved to have him as an officer in the navy. That would have been a wonderful experience. Gary Calvin

Good golfer, great manager and human being, and my friend. I worked with him at the state hospital and later at AFS Division. I golfed with him at SALEM GC. No better person existed. REST IN PEACE, buddy.

He was a mentor who helped give direction, guidance and friendship. He will be missed.

Met Rob at the State Hospital. A true gentleman to work with. He always had a great attitude and made others shine. Left this earth before his time! RIP my friend..

Truly a sad day when Rob left this earth. He was such a great guy to work with!

I am truly broken hearted and send my condolences to Bruce and Janice. He was a great guy and the love of my life. I saved some nearly 50 cards and letters of his and re-read them but a few months ago. Siltcoos, Bruce's boat, the vette, Reno w/socks on Janice's hands, the Rambergs, doggie coco(?), Mary Lou making drumsticks and lettuce-onion salad, Bill and his triple shifts and the stinky boy's room after a night of partying. My love to all.

I'm so sorry to hear of Rob's passing. I worked with him for many years in state government. He was such a nice smart guy who was always looking for better and more economical ways to deliver services for Oregonians. I will always remember his smile and how excited he got when he was figuring out the best ways to get things done. He was definitely a keeper. Rest in peace, friend.

I'm so sorry to hear of Rob's passing. May God comfort and hold you during this very difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Rob passing, truly a good guy
from a wonderful family.
