A classmate which was a privilege to be associated with. I admired his success in Salt Lake and the legal profession is better because of his contribution to it.

Bob was a wonderful man. He was a caring and genuine friend, great sense of humor and ferocious competitor in sports. His keen intellect and breadth of experience made him a very interesting person to be with. He was a great father to his children and very invested in them and a strong sense of family. I first encountered Bob Campbell while clerking at the Utah Supreme Court in 1973, as he argued a motion for a continuance. Afterward, Justice Henroid explained that Bob Campbell was an exceptional lawyer. Later, in practice, he was always regarded as one of Utah's top lawyers and litigators. I also watched him perform a piano piece with the Utah Symphony in the mid-1980s. Pretty amazing skills.
