Not sure what to say?

Doctor Carey saved my life, he also helped my mother to stay alive for more then 40 years after being diagnosed with mylelofibrosis. He was a compassionate, intelligent doctor, may he rest in the arms of Jesus

Dr. Carey was my oncologist from 1980 until his retirement, and I am sad that he is gone. He cared deeply for clinical work, and for his patients and for their quality of life. He had the humility that really good doctors have, and the ability to see treatment from the patient's point of view. It is thanks to his willingness to listen, argue and negotiate that I was able to survive an extremely aggressive chemotherapy protocol.

I am grateful for the life of Dr. Carey, my oncologist in 1993, whose wonderful care enabled my long life. I'm also grateful for his loving care of my son-in-law, Phillip King, Mass General Chaplain. What a warm, intelligent, dedicated, lovely man!

Dr. Carey was my oncologist from the mid '80's until his retirement. He was an intelligent doctor and a kind human being. I am sorry for your loss.

Jocelyn, I was saddened when reading Bob's obituary in the "Globe" this morning. Please accept my heartfelt condoences. My memories of Bob, you, Theo, Will, and Madelyn are very rich. Perhaps, at some point, we can get together and recall our early days as friends in Newtonville. Please know that I am thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dear Jocelyn and sons. I am so sorry for your loss of Bob, a wonderful man, husband, father and friend. And I think back to lots of fun times together in our earlier days in Sherborn. You are in our prayers and I send our love. Sally Meyer.
