Not sure what to say?

I really liked Bob. He autographed things for our observatory in Columbia, Mo to give to kids and students to spur their interest in NASA. I was lucky enough to get to drop by his house and have a sandwich with him to pick up some things for giveaway. I will always remember sitting at his table and looking out at his backyard and saying to him "Bob have you ever been in a hurricane?" and he said..Yep....I said I'm from the midwest what's it like"?....Simple he said.."not good". Made me chuckle.

My thanks to a fellow member of the greatest team on earth that has allowed me to become old and enjoy great grandchildren!

Bob Carlton - That name was synonymous with all early Gemini and later Apollo missions as it related to the Flight Operations effort during my tenure there. Bob was our friend, mentor and inspiration when things really got tough. I'll miss the "Grey Fox" as he was affectionately called. Rest in peace my friend.

Worked with Bob at NASA for many years! He was a key flight controller during Apollo and valuable contributor for many years beyond! Even more importantly, Bob was a really fine person! Rest in peace, Bob.

Bob and I were in the LM Systems Branch, though in different areas. He was meticulous and thorough. I much admired him.

You served your country well and contributed to the Golden Age of Space.
