Barbara, Kathy, Judy, and other family of Bob and Velda Rae. I am so sorry to see this news of Bob's passing. As you may recall, Bob and my Dad were crewmates during WWII. Throughout their lives they maintained the strongest of respect and admiration for each other. I feel privileged to have been able to spend time with your parents at annual reunions of the 487th Bomb Group and I share my father's admiration and respect for my friends Bob and Velda. In faith I know they are together...

My condolences to all of Bob & Velda's loved ones. I am truly sorry for your loss. I am also in Sam's Class, so enjoyed hearing all the stories that Bob would tell all of us. He always kept us laughing. We will always miss him.
