Brooklawn Funeral Home - Rocky Hill Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Robert James Castillo, Sr. on Saturday June 8th, 2019 at 61 years old. He was a loving and devoted father and friend to all whose lives he touched.

Robert was a hard worker who spent his life in a variety of professions striving to provide for those he cared about. He worked as a truck driver for many years which allowed him to travel and learn useful skills that he passed on to his children.

Robert was the beloved father of Sarah, Robert Jr., Melissa and Nicholas and proud grandfather to Blake, Makayla and Brantley. He is survived by his siblings Maria, Michael and William Castillo. Despite a tough exterior, Robert had a soft heart and showed overwhelming love and support for his family. He enjoyed cookouts, sports, was extremely gifted mechanically and was always the life of the party. Everyone who knew him could attest to his unashamed sense of humor and big personality.  He will be sorely missed by many.

For those who wish to pay their respects and say their final goodbye, Robert’s services will be held Saturday June 15th from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Brooklawn Funeral home, 511 Brook Street in Rocky Hill, Connecticut.
