Dad, It's been five years and it still gets hard to breathe when I let myself wallow in the grief. There have been so many times over these years that I have wanted to talk to you, wanted to share an accomplishment, or ask you something. There is a hole here that will never fill. We all miss you and I really wish you were here to see what your grandsons are doing and the men that they are becoming. Miss you tons.

My sincerest condolences to the Chasteen family for the loss of a father, husband and grandfather! Bob was the OIC of the Mildet when I was assigned to the USNS Waccamaw and it was a pleasure to serve with him! I was an ET1 at the time.
