Robert John Chavez

I worked at the Wilkes & McHugh Arizona office up until about a month ago when I moved out of state. Robert would come in to help with things in the office and it was always a pleasure to have him around. To hear of his passing from a fellow co-worker was heartbreaking. Robert was a wonderful man that had a great spirit and good attitude on life. My deepest sympathies go out to the Chavez family. Know that Robert was wonderful to work with and he will be missed very much.

Through Judge Victor Chavez and many appearances over the years at Shield & Smith and Ford Walker, I got to know this amazing, handsome, always smiling professional volleyball athlete and attorney. I am unsure which he loved more -- the beach volleyball or the legal battles -- but I am sure he loved his family the most. My office was next to Robert's at Shield & Smith and I ran into him in court just a month or so ago. We laughed about how much had changed over the years since we had last seen each other and how much had stayed the same! He was such a vibrant person and so much fun to be around. My sympathies to his family and friends.

My sincerest condolences to the Chavez family. I had the pleasure of being a classmate of Robert's at USC, and remember him fondly. I am shocked by his sudden passing. He will truly be missed.

To Christina and the children, I send my prayers and thoughts to you. I worked with Robert at Wilkes & McHugh and will always remember his laugh, his smile and great humor. He will truly be missed by us all. Love you guys
