Our Prayers and Sympathy be with the Childress family.

I worked with Chilly for many years at LMW, and we could always find something to laugh about. A philosopher the obit said! Yes he was. A great story teller with the widest grin in Roanoke. He gave me a kitten once to give to my wife for her birthday. I wanted to name it Chilly but her vote was for Otis and that stuck. We still have him. God bless all his family and friends. Goodbye Chilly.

I can't say enough good things about my friend. Chily was a very special person and I'm going to miss him dearly.

When we worked together at LMW, he was always willing to listen and offer advice and he told some of the funniest and most memorable stories I've ever heard. Even after I left the company and his hours got cut, he would look me up wherever I was and even had a bus driver stop a Valley Metro bus just so he could say hi to me when I was walking down the street! No one...

My deepest sympathy to the Childress family in this time of sorrow.Chilly was good person with a kind heart. He will be truely missed by many who Knew him.
