Not sure what to say?

Dr. Clawson was a longsuffering and unforgettable teacher.

Peace be with you. May you Rest In Peace with all the angels and saints.

I am one of the many he taught. I am a physician assistant and I passed gross anatomy because he was willing to take extra time with me and my terrible test anxiety. He would verbally quiz me and reassure me I knew the material. He would give me old tests to take as a "practice test" in my regular seat the day before exams so I could "get the nerves out". I wouldn't have made it without his help and you do not find many professors that are willing to give you extra help in a school for...

Dr Clawson provided such a wonderful experience growing up under his leadership in Cub Scouts. I remember many camp outs in the wooden fort outside of Shreveport, along with the very active pack meetings where we learned about Citizenship, being responsible in our families, and beginning survival skills that we carried on into Boy Scouts and beyond. His joy at our pinewood derby's was contagious and his appreciation for all involved was very important in building the character of so many...

Dr. Clawson taught me in medical school in 1981. May his memory be everlasting.

Bob was a beloved mentor in my early days as the Surgery Department histologist. I vividly remember a phone conversation still going on at 10:00 on a Saturday night over some curious staining! He and Marilyn were also friends through Bruce's and my several years in scouting. As a matter of fact, our son Dale was one of Marilyn's Cub Scouts who went on to LSU become a doctor himself. Bob's influence is legend and he will be sorely missed. Lots of wonderful memories left behind him.

We have truly lost a great teacher and a great man in Dr. Clawson. It is hard to imagine the medical school experience without him, and I am so grateful that I had the good fortune of being his student. Our thoughts and prayers are with all who mourn the loss of this kind and giving man. He touched many lives. God bless,

I don't know any medical student who didn't love Dr. Clawson. It takes a special person to make gross anatomy enjoyable, and he did so effortlessly. I am so glad I went to LSU Shreveport so that I could have the privilege of learning from professors like him. Thank you for everything, and my sincerest condolences to his family.

David, we are so sorry for you and your families loss. You should be so proud of your fathers legacy. Eddie and Rhonda Lynch
