Not sure what to say?

Rob was my first roommate at Northeastern University and my best friend. We played guitar together and even shared an apartment in Little Falls N.J. for a year.

He was a great friend, always fun and funny, and very energetic. He fell in love with English when taking one class in Brooklyn where the teacher asked the class what a chronometer was. That teacher changed the direction of Rob's life and inspired him to pursue what he loved.

I am saddened to hear of his...

My daughter Chloe was a student of Rob's and continued to stay in contact with him for the 8 years since they met in her 8th grade year. He was tremendous influence on her as she navigated her love of English reading and writing. He sparked her passion for the written word and continued to mentor her thru college application essays and her college work as an English major. Our family wishes the best for Mary Ann and Devon as they start their new lives without him, please accept our...

Deepest condolences to his family. I had the privilege of being one of Mr Cohen's students. He was everything an educator should be and more. Anyone who sat in his class could tell that he was passionate about what he did. Truly an indelible and inspirational force in the lives of so many young people.

He was my friend. Goodbye and rest in peace.

My sympathy is with the family of Mr. Robert Cohen in dealing with your recent loss. May all of you find comfort in the fact that God patiently listens to the prayers of his servants. Psalms 86:5

Our deepest condolences to his family. He was a champion educator who impacted and influenced each and every student that had the priveledge of having him as an instructor. The Treanor family

Maryann and Devon my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I can't imagine how hard this is for you both. May he rest in peace.

I had the absolute honor of having Mr. Cohen as my english teacher at FAMS. He was the kind of teacher every kid prayed to have on his or her schedule on the first day of school. I still remember a stunning amount from that class - rain, steam, and speed, Haroun & the sea of stories, "time is passing, are you?", analyzing Beatles lyrics, etc. He was a champion of creative thinking and style. He taught me so much at such a young age...I still use lessons from his class today. We are all...

Such a tragedy. A truly wonderful teacher. I remember the first day Mr. Cohen taught Alexander and Alexander came home and said, " I really like this teacher."
They shared adoption stories, and Mr. Cohen brought out the best in my son.
My sincerest condolences to the whole family.
