Not sure what to say?

I am truly saddened to hear of Dr. Colgrove's passing. I knew him both as a patient (on multiple occaisions during my adolescence)and a friend of Robin's. I was lucky to know him in both capacities.

My sympathies are extended to the family of Dr. Robert Colgrove. I had the honor and pleasure of working with him and for him for many, many years at Kaiser Permanente. He was an excllent physician and my friend. I will miss him.

Over twenty years ago I met Bob's wife, Kathy walking at Lake Murray. She walked with their sweet dog each morning.

When I met Bob I didn't realize he was Kathy's husband until I found out that Kathy was very ill and he was walking at the lake. I'm sure that being outside for a short time was a stress release.

Bob talked about his wonderful children and was so proud of his grandchildren. When he moved to Grass Valley to be near his grandchildren he was looking forward to the...

My
condolences to Dr. Colgrove's family. He operated on my hand in 1986 at Kaiser
for carpal tunnel syndrome and it has been fine ever since! Before
that, I dropped silverware, couldn;'t feel to play my piano or type,
etc. His skill left NO scar at all and I was always very happy that it
turned out so well. In 2000 the other hand was operated on by somebody
else and although the function is also perfect now, there is a nasty
scar. I was sorry to see that Dr. Colgrove had...

We’ve never met but my thoughts are with you as I am one of the many lucky patients who met your dad and Grandpa. I was just 15 years old and nearly crippled with excruciating back & leg pain when “Dr. C” performed spinal fusion surgery on me in 1975. After recovery I was once again able to walk, run, and most importantly ride my beloved horses. Thanks to him I have lived the last 30+ years virtually pain free! Perhaps my memories can give you comfort at this time. Be well,

How sorry I am that an emergency came up on the 16th. I so wanted to attend your memorial remebrance, Bob.
In sympathy,

33 years ago when the La Mesa medical centers was the Hospital, my three year old handicapped daughter broke her leg at the zoo. You would think that we would forget a doctor over all that time, but what we remember was what a kind and competent doctor he was. We thank God for his craft, and know he was well loved by his family and friends and respected by all. He will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolenses to Bob's children. Bob was my associate and friend for 35 years. During hundreds of lunch conversations I followed each of your paths in life and I know how he loved you and how rightfully proud he was of you. Because of my great trust in Bob's skills and knowledge of orthopedics, he saw all of my family at least once and operated on my wife four times. I attended Kathy's service but was unable to attend Bob's memorial service. You were all blessed to have such...
