He influenced this area with his classic textbooks, his mentoring of students as well as professionals, and with his keen research contibutions. I knew Bob first as a student and afterwards as a colleague. I will cherish his memory.

Prof. Collin was an exceptional scientist and highly effective educator. For his enormous contribution to his professional field, he became the very first recipient of the IEEE Electromagnetics Award (the most distinguished international award and highest honor in his field). He was a humble giant who was always generous in knowledge sharing and with a great sense of humor. Our most sincere condolences and sympathy to his extended family in this difficult time.
