I am so sorry for your loss. It was nice to meet your family and spend time with you all at Colonial Gardens. Dr. Bob was a special man and well-loved. Take care.

Bob brought humor, song, and wit to our Circle of Friends sessions, and I was always so disappointed when he was absent. I am sure he is serenading the angels with his glorious rendition of "Sioux City Sue." Love and condolences to the whole family. I will always hold him in my heart.

I owe my medical career to Bob Colvin. I was seriously thinking of dropping out of medical school during my second year at SIU. I was flown from Springfield down to Carbondale and was told to meet with Bob. He taught me that "Freedom is simply the number of options that one has!" He convinced me to stay in school and I have shared that same advice with many of my patients over the years. I will never forget Bob's warm and caring manner and would not be a psychiatrist today if it were not...

This is news. Dr. Colvin was an inspiring teacher and a wonderful person.

I hadn't thought of Dr. Colvin for decades but warm feelings and a smiling image of him in the C'dale hallway immediately came to mind as I read of his passing. Wish I'd thanked him better for his contribution to my life and career. Bye, Bob. Thanks...
