Robert L. 'Bob' Conrad Oct. 29, 1926 — March 22, 2009 Robert L. "Bob" Conrad, 82, Marion, died at 7:27 a.m. Sunday in his residence. He was born in Lewis, Iowa, to the late William Jennings Bryan and Meda Laverne (Baker) Conrad and lived most of his life in Grant County. He was a 1944 graduate of Sweetser High School. He married Lois Davis on June 27, 1948, his wife of 60 years. She survives. Bob was a retired farmer and a handyman. He loved being with his family. Survivors include wife, Lois Conrad, Marion; daughters, Teresa (Roger) Rodmaker, Marion, Diana (Gary) Walters, Marion; grandchildren, Lori (Greg) McGillem, Julie (Monte) Scott, Scott (Laura) Rodamaker, Steve Bragg, Stan (Sonya) Bragg, Gary Walters, Jr., Milinda Raddenbach; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Michael (Barb) Conrad, Ariz. He is preceded in death by two brothers; 2 sisters and his parents. Services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion with Rev. John Whitton officiating. Burial is in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
