Robert Cowan Cordry

He was a great, cheerful guy! This picture is exactly how I remember him. Class of '78

He was a wonderful person, always empathetic and positive anytime anybody needed him as a counselor. I knew him as "coeur de roi", always making jokes in the office at Monte Vista High School. Just remembering him puts a smile on my face.

i liked mr. cordry. he was my senior class counselor at monte vista (66), he was forever positive and influenced me toward college. over the the years i would make a point of visiting him at el cajon library.

such an admirable man,always smiling and a positive part of all the lives he touched. It was so good to see him at our 40th yr. class reunion and to see him join in opn the fun. He will be missed by so many who had the pleasure of being influenced by him.

My sincere condolences to the family of Bob Cordry. I shall forever remember his upbeat character and happy can-do attitude. He was such a motivator and inspiration of all of us in Student Government and all who attended Grossmont. What a gift he gave to all of us.

My first re-collection of Mr. Cordry was in the early 60'S where he work part-time at Howard's men clothes in El Cajon on main st. El Cajon, my brother's and I would buy our Pendleton jacket's,Bob help me buy my first one! Robert Weston and I would run into Mr. Cordry for the next 50 year's, he always had a story to tell with that big beautiful smile! Mr. Cordry was my World History teacher. I will never forget the rhyming assignment for major dates in history: In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue... He was fun, dedicated, and his enthusiasm was infectious!
