Not sure what to say?

Bob was a great friend since the mid 70's. We meet each other through our participation in the shooting sports at the Izaak Walton Park in Madison Heights Va. He was an accomplished shooter with rifle, pistol, revolver and shotgun and very modest about his skills. He always pitched in on work parties at both the rifle and pistol ranges and the trap and skeet fields and welcomed and mentored new members.

He spoke fondly of his wife and their two sons and their accomplishments in...

Great guy, always willing to show prospects around the Izaak Walton Park or pitch in on anybody's work party. The bride and I enjoyed a cold one now and again with Bob at the Cavalier, where his picture still hangs on the wall ! One of the best offhand shots I've seen, old school, liked wood and steel with iron sights . Loved his cats and Diane. And he did win the Mossberg Match pictured ! He will be missed.

I will always treasure the times spent with Bob on the skeet and trap fields at the Izaak Walton park, as well as on the pool table at the Cavalier. My sincere condolences to his wife, his sons and his many friends. Rest easy, my friend

Thoughts and prayers be with his family. I knew him through Fisher. Always helpful and enjoyed talks with him Bob.

Dianne, I am so sorry for your loss. Peggy Joplin

Dianne, I´m so sorry for your loss. Charlotte

I competed with Bob in many rifle matches at Izaak Walton League of Lynchburg over the years, and enjoyed talking with him. We will all miss him!

Very sorry to see this - many fond memories from the Cavalier. Sending my deepest sympathies to the family.

So sorry to see this. Was glad I got to know him and enjoyed shooting together. He was a very kind man and will be missed by our regular trap group.
