Not sure what to say?

I had no idea Bob had died until I stopped by Christi's fb page. He was very special. No words to adequately express what an exceptional person he was.

Bob was truly one of a kind. I was just a kid when I worked for him and Janet at Group 243. I'll never forget his brilliant creative direction that stays with me to this day. I loved living next door to Bob and Janet and many times got to partake in his homemade wines. After that headache, he'd go outside some evenings in the snow and blacksmith for a while. I can still hear the clinking of his tools and smell the fire. Enjoy your next realm, Bob. Love to you. Helena

Robert Cotman ...brilliant, talented, creative, funny (great smile and laugh), diffiicult task master and wonderful teacher. Impossible to think of Cotman without the next thought being Muhleman, the Astaire and Rogers of design and development. Their combined vision and dedication established Group 243 and influenced the establishment and growth of Domino's Pizza. What a loss to many, especially those of us who had the opportunity, pleasure and sometimes frustration of working with him. ...

I am so sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. It is always with a smile that I think about my time with you all at Joyce Julius. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless You,
Sue (Fain) Sloan

Bob Cotman was a natural entrepreneur, and possessed great wisdom from a relatively young age, evident to all during his early years in business as co-founder of Group 243. Bob’s charm acted as a magnet for a large number of gifted, creative people, who enjoyed his unique way of blurring the lines between serious work, fun and camaraderie. He had a knack for recognizing and bringing out others’ exceptional talents. Many people were provided uncommon opportunities to grow and learn through...

Joyce and Bob at John and Anna's wedding

Robert touched and influenced many people – family, friends and business associates – and shaped the growth of multiple companies, notably Group 243, Domino's Pizza and Joyce Julius and Associates. He was a brilliant, creative man and expressed his creativity through his work and his many avocations.

He will be sorely missed and always remembered.

Dear Joyce and girls,

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing and will keep you all in my prayers.

The past couple of years haven't been kind to the old guard from Domino's - Helen McNulty, Sue Pagnano and now Bob. I was just thinking about you the last time I drove home down Dexter Pinckney Road, wondering if you still lived on the lake.

What a sad time for you all.
