I loved both Carol & Bob with their down to earth ways, warmth & humor almost since I met them as neighbors back in 1976. We shared a love of horses, nature, coffee & laughs at their kitchen table. Later, we shared a common faith in Jesus Christ as our God & Savior. That's why, even though I'll miss Bob, I know he's beyond well now & blissfully happy in Heaven with his beloved Savior. Carol, you, Amy & the rest of your family have my sympathy & will be in my prayers.

My heart goes out to your family during this time. Bob and the Counterman family were a huge influence in my life. Carol was my mom's best friend and Bob taught me to love Appaloosas and how to ride better. Racing Freckles and Windy up the at that time dirt road on Quaker Plains to me falling off Windy and Bob having to ride him home for me. Thank you for all the wonderful loving and fond memories of my childhood (even when you brought all us kids to the shop when you were cleaning it up)....
