Bob was a dear man and a friend and mentor to us both! He supported David from the beginning of his career as a Craniofacial surgeon and for many years on the Craniofacial Anomaly Team. He was also one of the earliest supporters of my work with the Child Abuse Team in the early 1980's (many doctors were afraid to get involved, but Bob put the services of the Dental Department at our disposal).

Many memories fill my mind. Bob was a wonderful man as well as Barb, his wife. The band, school, trips to Holmes County and Chautauqua as well as his favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox in Spring Training. We have all been richer in our spirits and warmed by their love. Letting go of this life was all he could do, but the welcome on the other side must have been a joy to behold. Friendships like theirs come along only on rare occasions but we need to share that joy with others...
