Not sure what to say?

I just heard today the news of Bob's death. It made me sad. Bob and I were next-door neighbors on Westover Drive about 80 years ago. I would check into to news about his career and family from time to time over the years. He was an extraordinary person who stayed home in Birmingham and achieved much. I always remembered Bob and admired his goodness. When I met him again at a SVHS class reunion a few years ago, it made me happy. I hoped to see him again.

Love you, Uncle Bob! Your nephew, John Hayes - In heaven with Julie now. I still haven't cried as hard as the day Julie died.

Dr. Crowe gave me the opportunity to work for him when I was young. I truly believe that it was his influence that instilled my current work ethic. He was truly a great man and will be missed.

May God comfort you, dear Carolyn
I hurt for your loss!
As you know, I was lucky he was my high school boyfriend, and I so loved his family, too. I know you have been blessed to have this outstanding man as your husband, and he was equally blessed to have such a wonderful wife and family.
With sympathy and love

Melanie and Gary, I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad’s death. I know you’re thankful for the memories, his Christian walk, and his example.
Our prayers are with your family and especially for your Mom during this time.

I worked for Dr. Crowe in high school (cleaning cages at Green Springs Animal Clinic), as a veterinarian, and as a partner at Vestavia Animal Clinic. Bob taught me much of what I know about medicine and surgery, most of what I know about business, and was an example that helped me grow into a better person. A kind man that I have known most of my life. He will be missed.

Bob and I sat at the same table for a few years at a Mens Bible Study on Monday Morning. He always spoke highly of his family, friends and church. He thoroughly enjoyed growing in his relationship with The Lord as well as serving. His enthusiasm and passion were contagious.
