Not sure what to say?

Those of us who experienced this day as a United Nation, will never forget it. I pause today to ask God to bless Robert's family in a special way, and for them to know that we will never every forget. Much love from Texas,

Remembering Robert on the 20th anniversary of 9/11...

I'll always remember Bob on this day each year. He was a good friend and mentor to me.

Dear Marianne,
We live in Geneva, Switzerland. I used to work for EDUS, then Blyth, then PaineWebber. As a member of the President's Club I met Robert (Bob) on many occasions. When Bob left Blyth Eastman Dillon he wrote me a personal letter dated November 15, 1978 which I found recently. In 2016 my wife Yvonne and I visited the Top of the World building. As we went off the building we reached the Memorial, and the first name I read was Robert L. Cruikshank. I immediately thought about Bob,...

Dear Marianne, I am the eldest son of a long-departed friend of yours, Storm Davis Small (Ream then Herricks). We just found you through Skip's then your wedding notices... which led us to this sad news regarding Robert. Our sincere condolences many years later. It would be a joy to make contact with you. My address is liam.ream(at)gmail.com. God bless you and yours.

So sorry for your lost. It is very difficult to lose a love one. There are satisfying answers to life big questions. Please read Proverbs 2:1-5

Today marked the 10th anniv. of 9/11 and our church did a special remembrance service to honor the men and women who perished. We all wore name tags bearing the name of a person lost; I proudly wore the name Robert L. Cruikshank on my chest all day. I prayed for you and thanked you for your sacrifice. May God bless your family as they too remember your presence in their lives.

10 years later and the loss is still as deep and painful as it was the first day I heard that Bob was gone. Of course, he was at his desk early - he was the consummate professional who always led by example, a hard worker who gave and expected the best. I worked with Bob at Kenmar and learned many valuable lessons from him, not only about the industry, but about life as well.

To Marianne and the family, I really enjoyed hearing the stories he would share of your times together....

I attended the same grade school as Bob, and my husband played baseball with him when they were in grade school. Then my husband and Bob graduated from high school in 1954. He was a wonderful person and we think of him often. We will always remember him. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Don and Judy Haida
