So sorry for the passing of a great mind and a wonderful person. Robert Cuthbert was a conscientious researcher and writer about his beloved Charleston and Lowcountry. Would that he had stayed with us longer to make more of his excellent contributions to Charleston and Lowcountry historiography.

God has a special one in heaven ! The special memories we have of Robert are many ! He was our daughter Lori,s godfather! He made our transition to Charleston so much easier when we came in 1960 ! Many memories of our time at USDA !! The love he had for our families will always be cherished! Rest In Peace , my friend !
