DABNEY, Robert Lewis, went home to glory on October 22, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Lillie C. Dabney; brothers, William C. Dabney Jr. and Richard W. Dabney. He is survived by his loving and devoted caregiver wife, Patricia Howard-Dabney; stepdaughter, Dawn Howard; loving sisters, Ellen Crawley-Ammons (Reginald) and Lillie M. Dabney; nephews, Lee Dabney and Clifford Crawley; mother-in-law, Mildred M. Huff; three sisters-in-law, Scarlet H. Wallace (Neal), Marion H. Walker and Virginia H. White (Leroy); and a host of relatives and friends. Robert lived and loved life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all; especially his best friends, James "Andre" Mickle Jr. and Deacon Ellis Hale, and special friends, David and Barbara Forgie, Harry and Pauline Sharper, and Clark Springs Elementary School principal, Cynthia Tedder. The family will receive friends Friday, October 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Va. on Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m. Dr. Rev. Kirkland Walton officiating. Interment at Westhampton Memorial Park immediately following the service.
