Just found this in front of my yard. I think this may have been his report card from a class in college. Just wanted to share. I live in Des Moines, WA just south of Seattle.

Bob DeLacy was certainly the most effective and inspiring teacher I have been privileged to witness. He was absolutely in his element when working with students, sharing history, converting questions into story-based responses. In truth, he made information come alive, left us crying and laughing. It would take someone like Robin Williams to play who Bob DeLacy was for us. I treasure those memories, as well as the various times I saw him out and about in Portland. He always held a place for...

Condolences to the DeLacy family. I was fortunate to teach on the staff at Lincoln during the seventies and to have the benefit of Bob DeLacy's friendship and wisdom. He was a man of integrity and spirit. I have fond memories of many wonderful experiences listening and conversing during those years. He was a treasure!

Condolences to the Delacy family for your loss. Mr. Delacy was a beloved teacher at LHS, as evidenced by the many comments on the Lincoln page on Facebook. I was pleased to learn more about him through his obituary, which my mother sent to me in Japan. I had not known about his advocacy for racial integration and for women's sports. By the time we were in high school, I guess we took all that for granted, and had not realized how community members like Bob had helped make it happen. We are...

I consider myself to be very fortunate to have had Mr. DeLacy as both a teacher and an advocate during the two years I spent at Lincoln. Luckier still, our paths crossed last year (after 32 years), and I was able to thank him for being one of a handful of educators who continue to inspire me and influence my work as a high school math teacher. Thank you (again) Mr. DeLacy and all the best to your family.

I'm sorry for your loss. What an awesome and delightful teacher was Mr. DeLacy! I was lucky to have him for American History and English History at Lincoln.

Mr. DeLacy was my wonderful 8th grade teacher at Rigler. He encouraged me as a person and as a student at a time of my life when I needed that so much. He was one of just a handful of teachers - terrific human beings and intellectuals - who were so important to the successes I've had in my life. I've thought about him over the years and wondered if he had a good life. He obviously did, a good life well lived.

My condolences to Mr. Delacy's family. He was such a smart, energetic and memorable teacher. I took at least two classes with him, maybe three, at Lincoln. He was endlessly encouraging but had no patience with intellectual laziness. May he rest in peace, and may those left behind be comforted.
