Robert Leroy Delano

Robert Leroy Delano, 32, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, April 18, 2009 in his sleep. He was a graduate of Chancellor High School. Survivors include his father, Leroy Delano of Fredericksburg; two sisters, Sherri Purnell and her husband, Thomas, of Madison, Wisconsin, and Karen Delano of Fredericksburg; a brother, Gardner W. Delano of Los Angeles, California; a paternal grandmother, Ethel Delano of Fredericksburg; a niece, Elizabeth Purnell; two nephews, Thomas and Jonathan Purnell; an aunt and uncle, Sylvia and Jerry Todt, of Fredericksburg; and two cousins, Susan Smith and Shannon Wilson, of Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Delano. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 23 at Salem Fields Community Church with the Pastor Virginia Pruitt officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
