I was a student of Professor DeLongs' this past semester. It has been over 25 yrs since I've attended school and I was blessed to have had such a caring, devoted, kind and gentle man as my guide. I recently had to ask him to sign a withdrawal form, not for the lack of devotion and patience he had with all of his students, merely for lack of focus on my part. to the delong family: what a ray of sunshine your dad was. always laughing and happy, the world was such a better place with your dad in it. he touched so many lives and will be missed by so many.
